Benefits for guests and organizers

O An enclosed space typically offers better support infrastructure for receiving guests, and in the case of weddings and birthday parties, also for the preparation of the stars of the occasion. This difference makes people feel more relaxed before and during the party, for example.

For corporate events, it's important to be aware of the availability of support rooms where the speaker can prepare or have a moment to concentrate, while for concerts, the infrastructure for setting up dressing rooms and ease of movement around the venue can be important differentiating factors.

Regarding the guests, especially the women, another advantage lies in the comfort and suitability to their needs. After all, they have prepared extensively for the occasion, usually have elaborate hairstyles and wear high heels, and there will be less chance of them being affected by the environment in enclosed spaces!

Speaking specifically about men, they often suffer from sweating in non-air-conditioned environments, something that doesn't happen in enclosed spaces where the ideal temperature can be controlled. In other words, it's advantageous for everyone!

The owner of E2 Events, Ana Paula Paixão has over two decades of experience organizing a wide variety of events, with a very strong focus on the social sector. 

For her, a key advantage of indoor venues is the predictability of conditions. “In an indoor event, we have faster support and less need for alternative plans. Normally in an open space, we have to have plans from A to Z, because more situations arise that lead to changes in plans, such as weather issues. In an indoor space, we know exactly what risks we face and how to overcome any eventual changes quickly and without major alterations to the project or costs,” she explains.

This advantage of reducing the possibility of last-minute changes, mainly due to weather issues, also affects the relationship with the client. “We don't have that greater risk of generating customer dissatisfaction, where the client expects something and suddenly needs to be informed of necessary adjustments. And often these adjustments are significant and affect costs,” adds Ana Paula.

But what about when surprises arise in an enclosed space? Are there advantages to that as well? The organizer answers: “When something happens, it’s easily resolved, like changing an electrical outlet, resizing or repositioning a stage. We can turn the lighting on and off, create a blackout. In short, in case of a surprise, we can act and make a quicker change because we have greater control over the environment,” she concludes.
