According to the Brazilian Association of Events (Abrafesta), the wedding market is expected to generate around... R$ 40 billion in 2022. The number is 62% higher than in 2019.

To illustrate the sector's importance, it involves approximately 6 million professionals and 310,000 active companies, according to Abrafesta. These businesses include venue rentals, catering, event planning, music, photography and videography, and confectionery. 

In short, a multitude of areas and companies are involved in making the dreams of brides and grooms come true. And the resumption of weddings also means more activity for these businesses. With the ceremony date set, couples need to seek out professionals and suppliers to check services, products, and, most importantly, prices and deadlines.

What are the trends for weddings?

Decoration trends 

Certainly, choosing the decorations is one of the most anticipated moments for the couple. The first step is to define the style of the wedding, understanding whether the ceremony will be more romantic, modern, or classic, for example. Then, it's possible to proceed with secondary definitions.

WGSN, a global authority on trends, pointed Astro Dust, a medium-toned red, and Digital Lavender, a lavender shade, are expected to be major trends and could be great choices to include in a wedding color palette.

First of all, it's important to highlight that flowers are very important in wedding decorations, as they contribute to the overall look of the celebration. The combination of green and white is timeless, classic, chic, and a hit with brides. However, one trend is the return of roses and small flowers, such as hydrangeas.

Color also has its place when it comes to flowers. And here's a promising trend: monochrome. Using flowers in bold and vibrant colors in a monochromatic way, that is, using only one color, is a great bet.

Finally, when we talk about arrangements, a strong trend is towards asymmetrical, sculptural designs with an unusual combination of flowers.

At the end of August, the Center Convention hosted the fair. We Do. The event brought together around 50 exhibitors with products and services aimed at brides and grooms. On the day, the main wedding trends were highlighted and caught the attention of the nearly 500 people who visited the fair. 

The couples checked out the latest trends in confectionery, musical entertainment, wedding entertainment options, photography and videography, among others. 

During the event, several contracts and deals were closed with special conditions.
