The last day of the year is approaching, and now it's time to look back at the 2023 events that took place at the Center Convention. This is always an interesting time, both for companies and individuals, to 'look back' and analyze what was accomplished, the achievements, challenges, and successes.

Speaking specifically about the Center Convention, looking back at 2023 is interesting to understand the types of events the spaces hosted, their sizes, styles, and formats. It's also helpful to understand the organizers' requests, what people look for most when renting the space, and other important information to help us continue offering the best.

2023 Retrospective: A year of great events at the Center Convention

Among weddings, quinceañeras, fairs, conventions, workshops and much more, the year at the Center Convention was full of great events. More than 350 events were held in the last 12 months, bringing together thousands of people to celebrate, learn new things or strengthen their networking.

Large events, which boosted not only the event space but also the transportation, food, hotel, and other industries. The Mercure Hotel, for example, which, like the Center Convention, is located in the Center Shopping Complex, receives guests daily who come for conventions or other events at the Convention Center.

The various events also resulted in great photos – some of which you can see below. The Center Convention's facilities were used in different ways, hosting various decorations, buffet options, colors, musical attractions, and more.

Multiple event formats drew attention.

And speaking about the types of events that the Center Convention has hosted, this was a highlight. The modular rooms – that is, rooms that can be resized – as well as spaces like the Clementina Space, and the inauguration of the exhibition pavilion – which is also an important part of the 2023 retrospective – made this diversity of formats possible.

It's worth emphasizing that these multiple formats have led the entire Center Convention team to dedicate themselves 100% to delivering the event desired and planned by clients, who are constantly seeking innovation and new trends.

2023 Retrospective: Social Events

First, the social events! There were weddings, 15th birthday parties, anniversaries, and even wedding anniversaries. Each gathering reflected the host's personality and featured different elements that made each event unique.

This year, the Center Convention hosted several weddings, with couples seeking quality, comfort, and exclusivity. Moana and Egberto were one of these couples, and we feature their wedding in our 2023 retrospective. The ceremony took place in the Clementina 1 and 2 spaces, which are ideal for this type of event, and the color white, conveying elegance and lightness, was the couple's choice.

Wedding anniversaries have also been celebrated in our spaces. One example is the couple Sônia and João, who celebrated their golden wedding anniversary, that is, 50 years of marriage, at the Convention Center. Now, speaking of birthdays, special celebrations took place at the Center Convention. Luma held her debutante party at the convention center with a theme that dominated the decor: travel. Personalization and innovation were key words at this event.

Furthermore, Mrs. Doralice turned 100 years old, and her entire life story deserves to be celebrated. The party took place at Espaço Clementina with a light and airy decoration that suited the occasion.

2023 Retrospective: Corporate Events 

Looking back at corporate events in 2023, major gatherings – literally – marked the year. Conventions, forums, and trade shows at both national and regional levels took place at the Center Convention, bringing together thousands of participants.

The Mosaic Fertilizantes Recognition Convention, for example, was one of the first events to use the exhibition hall and convention center simultaneously, with separate spaces for lunch and lectures.

Another event that also utilized both spaces was the XXV Course on New Approaches in Production and Reproduction by Zoetis and Conapec Jr. Approximately 1600 participants were divided between the rooms with courses and workshops, and the sponsors' fair.

It's also worth highlighting the Porto de Galinhas na Estrada event, which featured a business networking session, an artistic presentation, and concluded with a cocktail reception prepared by the Center Convention's Food and Beverage team. Another event that included a business networking session and is featured in the 2023 retrospective was the Uberlândia Summit, which utilized the spaces in a highly interactive way, with sponsor displays, lecture halls, a space for the networking session, and more.

Finally, it's worth highlighting two types of corporate events that were very common throughout 2023: immersion programs and real estate launches. Brasal Incorporações held a meeting with real estate agents for the launch of the Imagine project. The meeting featured a 360º simulator that showed a simulation of a person in the building's elevator, visualizing the views with key points highlighted.

And speaking of immersion, to close out the 2023 retrospective, let's talk about the 2023 Women Eagles Immersion. The event brought together 1800 women and featured VIP areas, booths, and a lecture area.
