Conapec Jr. held one of the largest scientific congresses in the area of beef and dairy cattle farming, the XXVI Course on New Approaches in Bovine Production and Reproduction, on March 21st and 22nd at the Center Convention.

This was the 23° The event took place at the Center Convention and offered a complete immersion into the most relevant themes of 2024. The congress featured, for example, lectures by renowned experts, differentiated programs, and high-level networking. And it wasn't just the attendees who learned from the event; come and see what we learned from the XXVI New Approaches Course!

How was the New Approaches 2024?

The GDP of agriculture grew by 15.11% in 2023. A sector experiencing continuous growth and directly influencing the Brazilian economy demands that professionals and entrepreneurs constantly update their skills. For this reason, the 26th New Approaches Course took place in March of this year, bringing together hundreds of specialists at the convention center and... in the Exhibition Hall from the Center Convention.

José Vasconcelos, coordinator of Conapec Jr and one of the event organizers, shares a bit about the meeting's objective: "The main goal of Novos Enfoques is to bring new information to help improve the beef and dairy cattle production system in our country," he states.

With the participation of producers, students, and professionals in the field, the congress offered an ideal platform for exchanging experiences and learning. Furthermore, the event stood out for the presence of both national and international speakers, and provided an environment for participants to expand their networking and stay up-to-date with the latest innovations in the sector.

Simultaneous lectures marked the meeting.

During the two-day event, the meeting featured two simultaneous lecture rooms, one focused on the beef cattle module and the other on the dairy cattle module. This format guaranteed a major advantage for participants: attendees had the opportunity to choose which topics they wished to explore in greater depth.

In this way, the organization brought in prominent figures to speak to the audience. The first event, for example, featured international and national speakers – you can see all the names here. here – talking about:

  • Optimizing the performance of dairy herds through specific reproductive management strategies;
  • Controlling inflammation in dairy cows during the transition period and strategies to manage hypocalcemia.
  • Nutritional supplements to optimize reproductive efficiency in beef cows.
  • And much more!

Now, on the second day, the topics discussed included beef cattle production as a solution to the climate crisis, feedlot breeding systems: advantages and challenges, strategies to maximize energy consumption in feedlot-finished cattle, among others.

Solidarity was also part of it!

It's worth emphasizing that the event went beyond renowned speakers and important topics. After all, solidarity was also present!

By participating, the public supported the actionMilk for a Better Future, the result of the combined efforts of current and former members of Conapec Jr., the junior enterprise that organizes Novos Enfoques.

This is a point to keep in mind: whenever possible, think about social support initiatives that can be present at your event. You encourage important actions by highlighting them, and also invite the public to participate.

Check out how Novos Enfoques utilized the Center Convention's facilities!

The New Approaches course took place in Convention Center. This space at the Center Convention features modular rooms that can accommodate over 2,000 people and allows for simultaneous lectures.

This point brings us to another reflection, and it's a good practice for other organizers: companies and institutions are increasingly holding meetings with diverse programming that takes place simultaneously. This way, the event can explore a greater number of speakers and activities. Furthermore, it divides the audience, giving attendees the opportunity to explore different themes in one place, improving the overall experience.

The Center Convention's structure allows for presentations to take place simultaneously, but without interfering with each other, thanks to its robust structural and acoustic design.

This versatile infrastructure provides an ideal environment for large-scale events, such as Novos Enfoques. This ensures that all participants enjoy a comfortable and productive experience.
