The year has come to an end, and after months of new experiences, challenges overcome, and goals achieved, it's time to look back at 2022. This is a practice that many companies and even individuals have as a tradition, and the truth is that it's an action that can help to 'visualize' how the last year went, and make it easier to plan for the coming months.

After two years of pandemic with more intense restrictive measures, 2022 marked the resumption of several sectors of the economy, such as the events industry. In addition, the year was also generally eventful, with the World Cup and elections taking place in the second half of the year.

Now, speaking of Center Convention, it was a year of many achievements. More than 340 events were held there, including corporate meetings, weddings, 15th birthday parties, graduation ceremonies, and more. The venue also gained Tyales Veiga on its food and beverage team, as well as the kitchen of Clementina Bar & Ristorante, which, like the Convention Center, is also part of the Center Shopping Complex.

The year events resumed.

Before we talk about the venue, it's worth highlighting how the last few months have been marked by the resumption of events. This applies to Brazil as a whole, and also to Uberlândia and the surrounding region.

To give you an idea, More than 350,000 events were cancelled in 2020 alone., According to the Brazilian Association of Event Promoters (Abrape), the number of events held in 2022 is estimated to be nearly 600,000. The association is still awaiting the final figures, but expects the year to end with nearly 200,000 events taking place.

This movement is directly reflected in job and income generation. Now, analyzing Uberlândia and looking back at the events sector in 2022, the scenario was also positive.

In July of this year alone, events held in Uberlândia generated approximately R$1,100,000 in the city and positively impacted 67 sectors of the economy. 2022 Center Convention Retrospective: What happened here?

First and foremost, it's worth mentioning that success and customer satisfaction are key elements in Center Convention's 2022 retrospective. The venue can accommodate up to 28 simultaneous meetings and has a... complete set of services to offer convenience and practicality to customers.

Regarding the number of events, in the first half of this year alone, the venue hosted more than 160 events. In the last six months of the year, 188 meetings were held.

Weddings, conventions, lectures, 15th birthday parties, and graduation ceremonies, for example, are some of the types of events that took place at the Convention Center in 2022.

Corporate events

In our 2022 retrospective, we can't help but remember the corporate gatherings that took place in the space. Among lectures, conventions, business lunches, workshops, and trade shows, more than 280 events were held in the last 12 months.

Thousands of people passed through the spaces and participated in the meetings in search of training, networking, and more. The diversity in the event formats was something that caught the attention. The sessions featured different dynamics, objectives, and themes, captivating the audience.

Weddings

Did you know that in September 2022, the online platform iCasei already had more than 74,000 weddings took place in Brazil in the first nine months of the year? And at the Center Convention, the large volume of events of this type was also noticed.

The decrease in Covid-19 cases and the safety measures adopted by the venue have made couples feel more comfortable gathering with their loved ones to celebrate such an important moment.

Shows

In 2022, the Center Convention also hosted major concerts. National acts from a wide variety of musical styles, such as samba and rock, ensured the audience enjoyed themselves at the events.

This year alone, two editions of the traditional Center Shopping Festival took place at the venue. Alexandre Pires headlined the first event, and Titãs performed their greatest hits at the second. The events were a success and drew hundreds of fans.

15th birthday parties

Now, other special celebrations that took place at the Center Convention and couldn't be left out of the 2022 retrospective are the 15th birthday parties.

The events were filled with emotion, but also technology and innovation that made the gatherings stand out.
