Italian food: discover the history of one of the world's most traditional cuisines.

Italian cuisine has its origins in centuries past. Arabs, Spaniards, and other peoples have influenced this cuisine over the years, and that is why we see food full of flavors, spices, and tradition.

You probably think of pasta, pizza, and red meat when you think of Italian food, right? However, just like in Brazil and other countries, different regions of the country have diverse dishes and eating habits.

The reason is strongly related to history, geographical location, and the peoples who have inhabited the regions over the years.

For example, when we talk about northern Italy, we notice products and foods influenced by French, Austrian, and Hungarian cuisine. Such as many dairy products, meat, veal, and butter.

When we talk about Italian food in the south of the country, the Arab influence predominates. Therefore, there are many vegetables, the so-called red pepper, and with the abundance of sea that bathes the entire region, fish and seafood.

Finally, it's worth highlighting that these are just two regions. And even within these areas, a gastronomic diversity is evident. And all this richness of Italian cuisine can be tasted at the 'Italian Cuisine Festival by Chef Tyales Veiga'.
